PRIVATE DUTY NURSING

Private duty nursing for medically complex children

Private duty nursing (PDN) gives a medically complex child a dedicated nurse for full shifts — not brief visits. Our nurses follow your child's plan of care, work alongside your family, and coordinate with your child's physicians and Medicaid plan.

Who it's for

For families of children and young adults under 21 whose complex medical condition requires continuous skilled nursing — trach, vent, feeding tube, seizure disorders, and similar needs.

Conditions & situations we support

PDN serves children and young adults under 21 whose conditions require a nurse through the shift, not a short visit: tracheostomy and ventilator dependence, complex seizure disorders, feeding-tube nutrition, congenital and genetic conditions, cerebral palsy with high care needs, and NICU graduates coming home on monitors. Our nurses run the equipment, give medications on schedule, respond to emergencies, chart every shift, and coordinate with the pediatrician, the specialists, and the Medicaid plan. Shifts can cover school days, nights, and PPEC or group-home settings per the authorization — so parents can work, sleep, and be parents again.
